Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (GMT-0400)
A unique training event for fifty worship leaders and artists.
Hosted by The
Institute Of Contemporary & Emerging Worship Studies at St. Stephen’s
University, this in-the-round learning experience is designed to aid the growth
of today’s lead worshipper, musician and music artist.
Host Dan Wilt
(Institute Director and recording artist) will lead the morning interacting with
artist Jeremy Riddle (Sweetly Broken). Jeremy is a globally respected artist,
youth speaker and worship leader. A live video podcast will be created from the
event, and attendees will have an opportunity to engage in an intimate Q & A
format. Workshops and practical sessions for worship leaders/musicians/artists
will fill the afternoon.
A night of ancient-future worship at The Gothic
Arches.
To top
off the day, in the evening there will be a worship concert for the general
public at 8 pm, at the Gothic Arches (95 Wentworth Street, Saint John). The
Gothic Arches is one of the premier live music venues in Atlantic Canada, and is
an old church built in gothic style.
Jeremy Riddle (www.jeremyriddle.net)
will be the featured worship leader, and Dan Wilt (www.danwilt.com) will open
the evening with a brief ancient-future themed set, with a special appearance by
Californian hammered dulcimer player, Garrett Viggers (www.garrettviggers.com).
Candlelight, contemporary liturgy, intimate music, and full-out energy will all
mingle in this powerful night of passionate worship. Tickets are $10 CAD for
students and $15 CAD for adults. Tickets are available at the door or in advance
from The Baptist Bookroom, Saint John Vineyard, and St. Stephen’s University.
FaceToFace participants are free. Doors open at 7:15
pm.
